Immediate Needs ~ Caring for our Missionaries! (Missions)

Christ's call to us in ministry is not either/or when it comes to local ministry and ministry to the uttermost parts of the earth -- it is both local and global. The eldership of Grace is always seeking the spirit-led "sweet spot" or balance, of these multi-pronged ministry responsibilities and opportunities. We are grateful for your participation in both as a constant expression of your love for Christ and the gospel.

Our desire is to minister heart and soul with our missionaries - and our pocketbook comes along! We do not offer these requests with an expectation that Grace Bible Church will meet 100% of these needs either in the short-term or the long-term. But we do offer them so that you are well-informed of the needs of our missionaries and so that you are not denied an opportunity to care for them should the Holy Spirit lead you to do so.

A WAY YOU CAN HELP AMY: During Amy W__’s time with the Routhier family during the next year, the following items are needed to borrow (would be returned next summer):

The on-going support of an NGO in Central Asia is needed. An NGO is a Non-Governmental Organization, which is often associated with social, community, legal, economic, or health services. In needy countries where the government is not able to sufficiently care for the needs of its people, NGO's provide an essential civil service. Such is the case in the country where the W__'s serve. (Due to the social/political situation, the full name is not displayed. Please call the Church Office at 378.6722 if you would like more detail by telephone.)

Their presence in the country is greatly needed, and it is their service to the people through their NGO that allows them to be there and to have the delicate opportunity to share the gospel of Jesus Christ in a place that is largely closed to the message.
The funding of a partner for this NGO ends in April, leaving a $3,000+ deficit each month from May through December. Their total need is approximately $30,000 to complete the year. Would you consider giving to support this ministry of our co-laborers? We are very excited to have this family here with us locally for part of the coming summer. We pray that you will take the time to get to know them, encourage them, and pray for them.

The leadership of the Neza Christian Church continues to make preparations for the launch of the Neza Bible Institute this June. They are hoping to see the Lord gather a group of 6 to 12 students for this first class. (The Neza Bible Institute is an extension of the Word of Grace Biblical Seminary in Mexico City where GBC Missionary Jim Dowdy teaches.)

There is a significant list of start-up items needed: specific items totaling in excess of $10,000; as well as open account subsidies for textbooks and a reference library.
Additionally, the Administrator of the Neza Institute is Jose Carlos Martinez - one who loves and is gifted for this work. Jose Carlos will be here with us to speak in our services on July 4, before returning to Mexico with a GBC Neza Team in mid-July. There is on-going cost for the salary of the Administrator - approximately $700/month for half-time employment.
